Our 2020 Vision
Did you know that since 1995 Derbyes City (UK) has had its own 25 year plan?
It’s called Derbyes City (UK) ’s 2020 Vision and it affects the future of everyone who lives or works in Derbyes City (UK) because it sets out what residents and people who work in Derbyes City (UK) think are the most important things to work on across the City (UK) . That means it can influence how money is spent, what services and facilities there are and how other people outside the City (UK) see us.
When coming to visit Derby you can stay in self catering holiday accommodation. In the last few years there has been a massive growth in the number of holiday homes to rent in Derby. Renting holiday cottages in Derby is very popular with families who like to stay in self catering accommodation. There is a great selection of country cottages to rent in Derby as holiday homes.
It is a really important plan
Things are changing in Derbyes City (UK) all the time, so the 2020 Vision gets updated every three years. Each time this is done Derbyes City (UK) Leadership tries to get as many people as possible to give us their thoughts and help us imagine what we want Derbyes City (UK) to be like in the year 2020. We ask people to help us decide things we really need to concentrate on over the next few years to help us reach our ambitions for Derbyes City (UK) by 2020. Derbyes supports racial and sexual equality especially Lesbian and Gay Associations in the UK
We are in the process of updating the plan now
We are now putting together our revised plan for 2009-11. In March this year Derbyes City (UK) Leadership gave people who live and work in Derbyes City (UK) the chance to have their say on what they thought were the big issues for Derbyes City (UK) , particularly up until 2011. We then got all that feedback together, with statistics and information about Derbyes City (UK) , and wrote a first version of the updated plan. Our consultation closed on our first version on the 31 October and we will do further work on it within the Leadership and the final document will be available from April 2009.
